Questions before you book

What happens at my first visit?

You check in at the front desk, then talk with the doctor and have a hands-on exam. The doctor explains what they found and what a plan could look like. X-rays are taken only when medically necessary. If you were hurt in a crash, bring any papers from the emergency room or your own doctor. The first-visit page lists everything.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems have been reported after neck adjustments, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment, and you can say no to any part of a visit. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, chest pain, or loss of bladder or bowel control, call 911 or see a physician first.

Will the adjustment hurt?

Most people feel pressure, not pain, and some feel sore afterward. After a crash your body may already be tender, so the doctor changes the technique to fit you, and we stop whenever you ask.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. What decides it is the exam and your own goals. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can stop at any time.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill most PPO plans and, after a crash, the medical coverage on an auto policy where the policy allows it. What a plan pays differs from plan to plan, so ask us about yours. The page on how fees work has the details.

What if I do not use insurance?

If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before the visit, and an itemized receipt after it that you can send to a plan that reimburses.

Do I need x-rays?

Only when medically necessary. If your doctor thinks an x-ray is needed, they tell you why before it is taken. If the emergency room already took images, ask them for a copy and bring it.

Can my child or a family member come too?

Ask us first. Your doctor decides with you and the family whether chiropractic care fits. We do not claim care for conditions outside the spine and muscles, and when someone else is the right person, such as a child's pediatrician or a pregnant patient's OB or midwife, we say so and refer you.

What if I have already seen another provider?

That is common after a crash. Bring the papers you have, and tell the doctor what the other provider found and advised. With your written permission we can ask them for records. We work alongside your physician and never replace one.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please call us as early as you can if you need to change a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.

Still have a question?

Send a note and we will answer the way you ask.
