After an accident
Emergency care first. Then us, when you are ready.
A crash is a lot to deal with. This page is the order of things, what we do and do not do, and how the bills are handled.
Call 911 for the warning signs listed below
An emergency room, urgent care or your own doctor comes before a chiropractor
There is no deadline from us

- A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
After an accident
Four steps, in this order
Nobody has to decide anything on the day. This is the order that makes sense.
- 01
Step 1: Get checked
Go to an emergency room or urgent care, or call your own doctor, even if you feel fine. Some aches show up hours or days later.
- 02
Step 2: Write down what you can
Where and when it happened, who you spoke to, what you feel. Keep every paper from the day in one folder.
- 03
Step 3: See us when you are ready
We start with a talk and a hands-on exam. We set no deadline, and nobody from this office will contact you first.
- 04
Step 4: Know who pays before you pay
Auto medical coverage, your health plan, or you. We explain how each works and put the cost in writing first.
How bills are handled
What we do
What we do, and what we never do
What we do
Talk with you and examine you with our hands
Explain what we found and what a plan could look like
Take x-rays only when medically necessary
Give you a written cost estimate before care begins
Send your records and an itemized bill to you, your plan or your attorney when you ask in writing
What we never do
Contact anyone first after an accident
Promise a result, a number of visits or an outcome for a claim
Tell you to skip an emergency room or your own doctor
Give legal advice. For that, ask an attorney of your choice
Texas law sets a 30 day wait before a chiropractor may solicit someone hurt in an accident. This office does not solicit at any time. You found us, and you decide when to call.
Paying
How bills are handled
Three ways a visit gets paid. We explain each one before care begins, and you get the cost in writing.
Auto medical coverage
Many auto policies include medical payments or personal injury protection. If yours does, we can bill it as the policy allows. The policy decides what it pays, so we ask you to check yours.
Your health plan
We bill most PPO plans. We tell you what a plan may not pay before your first visit, including any copay or deductible.
Paying yourself
You get a written estimate in advance and an itemized receipt after each visit. You can send the receipt to any plan that reimburses.
Questions after a crash
Should I get checked even if I feel fine?
Yes. Go to an emergency room, urgent care or your own doctor. Some aches show up hours or days later, and a physician can rule out what a chiropractor should not be treating.
Does it matter when I come to see you?
We set no deadline. Some people come within days and some after weeks. Your own doctor's advice, and the time limits in your insurance policy, are worth checking, so ask them.
Do you work with my attorney or my insurance?
We send records and an itemized bill to you, your plan or your attorney when you ask in writing. We do not give legal advice and we do not run your claim. That stays between you, your insurer and anyone you choose to hire.
Call when you are ready
The front desk answers in English or Spanish and tells you what to bring.
